Let The Bad Times Roll

I was planning on posting photo’s of my latest purchases however I broke my camera and currently have nothing to take photo’s with.  Instead I will just talk about life.

Today at work I have a graduation to wrap up the 8 weeks training I have just done as I have previously posted it is going fairly well, still nothing to complain about and the people are great. I had my 6 week review late just this monday past and I am making good progress. I just have to keep it up and continue improving and in 3 weeks I pass the probation period at work providing I’m meeting / Exceeding my targets. I’m a bit bummed that I’m missing out on Earth Crisis and Day Of Contempt tonight but I guess sometimes you have to make sacrifices and in hindsight I would rather miss out on a show due to work than missing out due to no money/ job.

I’m pretty keen for the weekend, nothing special just going to see Year One on Saturday afternoon with my brother and going to the pub friday night, I intend on having a decent go at the pokies and my good friend Chris is going to show me how to be good at the TAB since I have never been before.  The coming few weeks are also shaping up to be good due to working longer hours which means more $$$. I should have a working Camera by the end of the weekend so when I can be bothered, I guess I will update this thing with some more photo’s

86′d (Good As Gone)

I upgraded my Internet with Internode to 40gb today and finally am able to download  something decent for once. I am going to start with every Goosebumps episode, in total its 11.5gb which will probably take me months considering I am too paranoid to leave my computer on while I sleep or go out haha.

Also purchased one of these today… will now officially be able to shred in public, for $59 why the fuck not.

At The End Of A Gun

I have been watching a lot of movies lately, last week I bought about 15 odd dvds and have already finished them all and need something new to watch but for some reason I could probably watch any Gus Van Sant film forever they are that good. If you think your into movies and you don’t know who this guy is than you need to do yourself a favour and go and buy his entire filmography below.

  • Mala Noche (1985)
  • Drugstore Cowboy (1989)
  • My Own Private Idaho (1991)
  • Even Cowgirls Get The Blues (1993)
  • To Die For (1995)
  • Good Will Hunting (1997)
  • Psycho (1998)
  • Finding Forrester (2000)
  • Gerry (2002)
  • Elephant (2003)
  • Last Days (2005)
  • Paranoid Park (2007)
  • Milk (2008)
  • It’s already half way through the year and I think ive seen 30 odd movies at the cinema so far and Watchmen and The Wrestler are still the greatest movies of 2009. I am planning on seeing State of Play and The Hangover this weekend which will more than likely rule.

My Debt To The Status Quo

Sing us a song of the century
    That’s louder than bombs
    And eternity
The era of static and contraband
That’s leading us to the promised land
Tell us a story that’s by candlelight
Waging a war and losing the fight
They’re playing the song of the century
Of panic and promise and prosperity
Tell me a story into that goodnight
Sing us a song for me

    Drop A Coin For Humanity

Today I paid off my debt for my credit card, it has been going on for over 12 months with being fucked around with jobs and unemployment with no benifits what so ever.  It was only $1200 but when your not working that’s a lot of money. I even had $1200 in cash literally throwing it at the tellar at the CBA branch but they would take my money since it had already gone to debt collectors when it actually hadn’t. It eventually got to the debt collectors and I have got to say they are some of the worst people on the planet. I was cooperative with them through out the whole process but I was still treated like an animal. I explained they can call me up until 10.30am on weekdays but they insisted on calling in the afternoon and then sending me letters saying that because they can’t get in contact with me they will take legal action like its some kind of threat to make me feel scared or stressed out.  I paid it off today and called them and said “I have paid it, now delete my details off your system and don’t call me again you fucking scumbags”

Just a little rant there, it actually feels good to have it paid off I wouldn’t say I have a sense of maturity but it definitly was a mature thing to take care of the situation myself instead of running off to mum and dad.

There isn’t really anything else new with me. Works still good, the people are still good and I’m half way through training. I am seeing Angels & Demons and Night At The Museum 2 on friday night then on Saturday I might be hanging with a young lady that goes by the name of Jacqui that I know from High School… nothing suss haha.

Posted this using Internet Explorer so there is going to be a lot of spelling mistakes but its WordPress not a Spelling Bee so deal with it.

    No Premonition Could’ve Seen This

I had a random thought last night, It has been just under 13 years since I discovered these two bands that over the years developed into my two favourite bands. For me personally, its a great feeling knowing that to this day that these bands still mean the world to me and are making great records. If I find the time at a later date I will make a post on how I discovered these bands. Oh happy Lagwagon Day “Saturday May 16th”
